Nutrition & Wellness

Healthy eating is the simplest way to wellness. Creating healthy eating habits as children creates a life of wellness. 

Adopted from my friend and nutritionist, Dr. Olivia, here are my benchmarks for healthy eating.

  • Maintain blood sugar level – eat every 2-4 hours and pair a lean protein with a complex carbohydrate.
  • No high fructose corn syrup.
  • No artificial sweeteners.
  • No artificial colors.
  • No MSGs.

Healthy eating and a stable blood sugar level help maintain wellness and prevent sickness.  

My other preventive measure is chiropractic care.  My children have not had a flu shot or any medicine since we began receiving chiropractic care, nearly two years ago.  It is a simple concept of wellness – when the spine is in alignment, we are at our highest functioning.  Chiropractic care is preventive, alternative medicine for holistic well-being.  It fits our conscious living paradigm – less is more; treating the source not the symptom is effectiveness.
