No one day is less or more significant than the others. For me, today is a day of mindfulness, an awareness of the ordinary miracles every day.
“If we are not fully ourselves, truly in the present moment, we miss everything.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
I remember when I turned my ankle and pinched a nerve in my calf muscle, resulting in a blood clot. Aren’t these of equal significance, a miracle in their own right?
The best way I know to experience the abundance of life is to recognize the significance of every day and live every day like it’s my last. We are each dealing with a finite number of days here. I don’t want to short change even one.
I have listened to this song by Nickelback several times today. In honor of today, and every day, may we be more mindful of our miracles and grateful for our freedom.
